Risk II resurrects the classic game of military strategy. You're battling to conquer the world. To win, you must launch attacks and defend yourself on all sides. The dangers are great but so are the rewards -- if you're willing to take the Risk.
The classic game of strategic warfare and global domination. It is the time of empires and armies, countries and conquests. Organize your forces in a ruthless campaign to crush your enemies and take their territories in this fast paced game of strategy, negotiation, and luck. See the classic family hit come to life with more ways to play, advanced map options, superior graphics, and animated battles. Deploy your troops, attack your enemies, and even betray your allies, in an aggressive effort to take over the world!
Risk II an overall winner (2009-05-04)
I enjoy this game immensely and usually play it at least once every day.
The most challenging is the same-time mode with extra territories added, and I like Capital Risk and Mission Risk the best. I usually choose at least 3 AI opponents.
The only glitch is that sometimes the game will freeze in the middle of a match and you have to quit the game and start over.
Also I have not detected much difference in the quality of play of the different AI generals that can be chosen as opponents even though it's supposed that the order of the list goes from easy to more difficult.
All in all, though, the game is great fun and quite versatile.
Very Fun... (2009-02-16)
We love this game. Much of what the other reviews state is true but I have 4 younger boys and we don't mind that it is a little easier. We really love the election and same time option which you don't get in the other versions.
It makes boring days at work go by quicker (2008-12-21)
The game is great, the new version where everyone chooses there moves at once, and being able to make multiple attacks, adds a whole nother strategy to the already classic great game. My only problem with it, is not being able to add computer players in LAN play and having to have 3 to start a LAN game, however having the ability when everyone can play does make boring days at work go by much faster, and adds to bragging rights of you and your co-workers...I give it 4 stars and a thumbs up, especialy for the price
OK game, no patches, runs like #### on vista as it did on XP (2008-05-24)
Risk II (Jewel Case) RISK 2 Risk II
This game has poor compatibility ability wether on XP or Vista applications,
seems it is a fairly cool game for old time board game lovers, ( ME ), but this and all versions including those with label acomodated change seem unchanged, they all always have had no updates I have seen for many years, unless some one was inspired in few recent months,
Also game itself is out of date !! I'd think thats fact here and should with out a doubt have a total remake and overhaul, for buyers, on any label of company ect.. Risk II truly runs like ****, causes; many untimely crashes, white screens/no show splash, total stauls, very very slow faulty and uncertain starts all together, although when it runs it works some times it is EXTREMELY PRONE TO CRASH at any given time in varying percentage of games, 1/4, 2/3, 2/5, 3/5, ect..... WHO KNOWS ?
RISK II for fun but not for delicately tempered persons easily angered, lol.
Harder and more complex than the first Risk. (2008-05-15)
I have played both versions of risk and while I like both games this version is more of a challenge. You can play three different ways,1. Classic version can be played,2. Tournament, which has many levels with different missions on each level,3. Same Time, which is another level in which all combatants move at the same time. I like the added challenge of same time but you'd better patience and cunning.
